How to use

Preparing the lawn

Rake to remove thatch, dead grass and debris. Mow your lawn to a height of 5 cm (2 in.) and remove all grass clippings.

Application

This 7-kg bag covers 157 m² (1 689 ft²).

Use a spreader for even coverage. Spread over the entire surface in a criss-cross pattern (first lengthwise, and then widthwise). 

After application, wait 4 weeks before mowing to a height of 7.5 cm (3 in.).

Watering

ADEQUATE WATERING IS ESSENTIAL TO SEED GERMINATION. 

After application, keep the treated surface moist at all times until germination. In dry and hot weather, watering daily may be necessary. Water early in the morning or in the evening for optimal results. Once seed has fully germinated (up to 2 weeks under ideal conditions), water regularly using a consistent irrigation schedule. 

When to apply

Apply in early spring to promote growth and greening, and any time throughout the season. 

Tips

• Use as directed. Do not apply at a higher application rate than recommended on the label.
• Aerate your lawn each spring.
• Set mower height to 7.5 cm (3 in.) and leave grass clippings on the ground. They are a good source of organic matter and will help shade out weeds. (In cold or humid weather, or if the grass is very long, use your mower bag to collect grass clippings.)
• Water lightly after each application. Between applications, water thoroughly once a week rather than a little every day. 
• Do not apply near bodies of water, if heavy rain is expected or to frozen ground. 
• It is recommended to have your soil analyzed before applying lawn fertilizer.

Wearing gloves and safety glasses is recommended.

CAUTION: This product contains iron, manganese and zinc and should be used only as recommended. It may prove harmful when misused. 

Precautions

Avoid inhaling dust. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, gloves and safety glasses when handling and applying the product. If inhaled, provide fresh air. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water. Wash hands after use.

Storage

Keep packaging sealed when not in use, and out of the reach of children and pets. Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.

Disposal

Recycle empty packaging or discard with household garbage, as applicable.
