How to use
- Use as part of a complete lawn maintenance program to inhibit the germination of weed seeds.
- For even coverage, use a spreader. Spread over the entire surface in a criss-cross pattern, first lengthwise, and then widthwise. Weeds that are established at the time of application will not be inhibited.
- Do not apply on a newly seeded or overseeded lawn, or on recently laid sod.
When to apply
Apply on established lawns twice per year:
- In early spring, two weeks before weed seeds germinate.
- In late summer or early fall, after heat stress has passed.
Tips
- C-I-L® BIO-WEED & FEED® Fertilizer-Herbicide must be used as part of a complete lawn maintenance program.
- Apply on mature lawns whose roots are well developped. Do not apply to newly seeded lawns, as it could prevent grass seeds from germinating. Apply after the first mowing, once the root system is established.
- Excessive moisture at the time of treatment can affect the product’s performance. Do not apply on a windy day. The action of the product on weed seeds dissipates five weeks after application.
- Do not apply the product on a new lawn or an overseeded lawn. Wait until the following fall or spring before treating.
